Tbilisi. Son of representative of the oppositional party "Our Georgia-Free Democrats Goderdzi Makharashvili - Elguja Makharashvili and two his friends were detained  on charges of hooliganism on Friday, February 17, the press-service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MoI) reported.

"The investigation  cleared out that on February 16 residents of village Mereti Akaki Akiashvili, born in 1992, Alguja Makharashvili (1990) and Jaba Eliashvili (1991) insulted physically and verbally resident of village Koshka of Gori district Giorgi Glakhashvili (1987), as a result he was taken with heavy injures  of face and a head to the Gori military hospital, is said in the statement of the press-service.

                According to the ministry's information, Merab Gugutishvili (1994) was in the place of the incident and tried to set apart the fighters. "Akaki Eliashvili , Elguja Makharashvili and Jaba Eliashvili were aggressive regarding  Gugutishvili and insulted him physically and verbally, they threw him on the ground and began kicking him with feet. As a result Gugutishvili fainted", the statement reads.

The investigation pursuant part 1 of Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (hooliganism) is under a way. 

As MoI  notes, in 2009 Jaba Aliashvili received three year suspended prison sentence pursuant to Article 236 of CC of Georgia (firearms illegal purchase and possession).

                According to the information  of "Free Democrats" press-service,  last week police official Zviad Khmiadashvili insulted physically and verbally Goderdzi Makharashvili and together with his colleagues threatened to arrest his children.

                Alasania met with chief of Gori police after Makharashvili and his friends had been detained and demanded to investigate the case justly.
